Jeff Booher PT, MPT, ATC

Jeff served as a physical therapist and athletic trainer for the PGA Tour and Senior PGA Tour for over six years and has covered over 175 PGA Tour events world-wide including the Masters, U.S. Open, PGA Championship and the President’s Cup. Jeff has also worked with professional athletes from many sports including professional baseball, basketball, football and tennis.
Jeff has written articles for or been a contributing editor for Golf Magazine, Golf Digest, Senior Golfer, the Wall Street Journal and the USA Today. He wrote the chapter on golf in the Team Physician’s Handbook, 3rd edition. Jeff also conducts continuing education seminars for healthcare professionals and has been a speaker at numerous physical therapy and athletic training conventions. Most recently, Jeff was a keynote speaker at the British Osteopathic Convention in England .

As a former athlete, Jeff was a collegiate Academic All-American in basketball at South Dakota State University. He ranks among the school’s all-time leading scorers, was named the conference’s Defensive Player of the Year and still holds multiple school records. Jeff was selected South Dakota Player of the Year and one of five finalists for national Scholar-Athlete of the Year.

Jeff has a Masters degree in physical therapy from the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN and a degree in Athletic Training from South Dakota State University.


Matt Bornschlegl PT, MPT, CSCS


Matt has excelled in the field of orthopedic and sports physical therapy his entire career as a physical therapist. He has been involved with collegiate and professional athletes from many sports, most notably in track and field and adventure racing/endurance sports.
He served as a physical therapist for the Ford Adventure Sport Challenge which included several world champion teams from the Eco-Challenge Adventure Race and the Raid Gauloises. He has also served on the medical teams for competitions involving many of the world's best rock climbers and trail runners.

Previously, as an athlete, Matt ran the fastest high hurdle time in class B during his final year of eligibility. He has held numerous high hurdle and intermediate hurdle race records at several major track meets. He has presently shifted his interests towards competitive adventure racing and also shares an interest in high altitude hiking/climbing with his wife, Staci.

Matt has a Masters degree in physical therapy from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE and a BS in exercise science from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In addition, he received his Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) in 2000.


Staci Bornschlegl PT, MPT, DPT

Staci has a strong background in the treatment of general orthopedic and sports conditions.  She has guided the rehabilitation of many professional, collegiate, and recreational athletes.  Staci has extensive knowledge and experience in the treatment of overhead sports injuries, such as volleyball, baseball, and softball.  
She also enjoys working with expectant mothers in the treatment of musculoskeletal pain associated with pregnancy.  She designs and educates women in safe exercise prescription during pregnancy to optimize their activity level.

As an athlete, Staci gained 1st team All-State honors in volleyball and basketball while in high school. She continued her athletic career in volleyball at Hastings College. During her collegiate years, she received many honors to include All-American, Academic All-American, Nebraska Small College Player of the Year, Conference Player of the Year, and Hastings College Athlete of the year. She was also recognized as the National NAIA Player of the Week. Staci continues to hold the records for the most kills in a season and most kills in a career at Hastings College.

Staci received her Bachelor’s degree from Hastings College. She graduated with her Master’s of Physical Therapy degree from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE in 2001. In addition, Staci earned her post-graduate Doctor of Physical Therapy degree (DPT) from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2005.


Ty Peterson MS, USAW

Previously the Director of Strength and Conditioning at Division I University of Northern Colorado, Ty brings his unparalled wealth of knowledge and experience to Lincoln, NE in the areas of athletic performance and sports enhancement. While at Northern Colorado, Ty developed a system that, for the first time in the athletic department’s history, ensured all 19 collegiate teams (470 student-athletes) train in the strength and conditioning facility utilizing sport specific training programs year round.

He was responsible for athletic testing of all athletes and compiling the test data to the coaches at UNC. Several of the athletes that Ty has personally trained have gone on to play professional basketball, football and baseball.

Ty enhanced much of his knowledge from previous experiences that include the Sports Performance Program at Arizona State University and serving as the head strength coach at Valley Union High School in Elfrida, AZ. While at Valley Union high school, he served as the head women’s basketball coach, assistant varsity football coach, and head junior varsity football coach. Ty was named prepArizona.com 1A Women’s basketball coach of the year in 2003 as he inherited a team with a win-loss record of 1-22 and led them to a final four appearance at the Arizona State Championship Tournament within two years. He was also named Arizona Assistant Football Coach of the Year in 2002.

Ty received his Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education from Western New Mexico University and his Master of Science in Sport and Exercise Science, Sport Psychology from the University of Northern Colorado. He is a USAW Certified Sports Performance Coach. He is married to Lindsay Wischmeier-Peterson, Director of Volleyball Operations at the University of Nebraska.
